Article 1 (Personal Information)

“Personal Information” refers to “personal information” as defined by the Act on the Protection of Personal Information of Japan, and means information about a living individual that can identify a specific individual by name, date of birth, address, telephone number, contact details, and other descriptions contained in such information, as well as data relating to appearance, fingerprints, voiceprints, and health insurance policy numbers or other identifiers that can identify a specific individual by themselves (personal identifiers).

Article 2 (Method of Collecting Personal Information)

We may ask users to provide personal information such as name, date of birth, address, telephone number, email address, bank account number, credit card number, and driver’s license number when registering for use.
We may also collect transaction records or payment-related information, including users’ personal information, from our business partners (including information providers, advertisers, advertising distribution partners, etc., hereinafter referred to as “Partners”).

Article 3 (Purpose of Collecting and Using Personal Information)

We collect and use personal information for the following purposes:

• To provide and operate our services

• To respond to user inquiries (including identity verification)

• To send emails regarding new features, updates, campaigns, and other services we provide

• To contact users when necessary, such as for maintenance or important notices

• To identify users who violate the Terms of Use or attempt to use the services for fraudulent or improper purposes, and to refuse their use

• To analyze collected data for improving user convenience, enhancing services, and providing personalized experiences, including using data for machine learning training and algorithm improvement

Article 4 (Change of Purpose of Use)

1. We may change the purpose of use of personal information only if it is reasonably deemed to have relevance to the original purpose.

2. If the purpose of use is changed, we will notify users or publicly announce the new purpose in a manner prescribed by us.

Article 5 (Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties)

1. We will not provide personal information to third parties without prior user consent, except in the following cases or as permitted by the Act on the Protection of Personal Information and other laws:

   • When it is necessary to protect a person’s life, body, or property, and obtaining the person’s consent is difficult

   • When it is particularly necessary to improve public health or promote the sound upbringing of children, and obtaining the person’s consent is difficult

   • When it is necessary to cooperate with a government agency, local government, or their entrusted parties in performing affairs stipulated by law, and obtaining the person’s consent may impede the execution of such affairs

   • When the following matters have been announced in advance and reported to the Personal Information Protection Commission:

     • The purpose of use includes provision to third parties

     • The items of data to be provided to third parties

     • The means or methods of provision to third parties

     • The fact that provision to third parties will be stopped upon the individual’s request

     • The method for accepting requests from the individual

2. Notwithstanding the provisions of the preceding paragraph, in the following cases, the recipient of such information shall not be regarded as a third party:

   • When we entrust the handling of personal information, in whole or in part, within the scope necessary to achieve the purpose of use

   • When personal information is provided in connection with a business succession due to a merger or other reasons

   • When personal information is jointly used with a specific party, and the items of personal information to be jointly used, the scope of joint users, the purpose of use by the users, and the name or title of the person responsible for managing the personal information have been notified to the individual in advance or made readily accessible to the individual

Article 6 (Changes to the Privacy Policy)

1. Except as otherwise provided by law or in this Policy, we may change the contents of this Policy without notifying users.

2. Unless otherwise specified by us, the revised Privacy Policy shall take effect from the time it is posted on this website.
